Cinnamon Dolce Syrup cost about $40-50. Aaron decided to make his own at home after finding a recipe. Add 2 teaspoons of this into hot apple cider, top with whip cream and caramel drizzle and you’ve got yourself a homemade Caramel Apple Spice.
Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
Much like the Starbucks version, but better
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cinnamon sticks crushed
Instructions
- Bring the water, sugar, and brown sugar to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently
- Reduce heat and add vanilla and cinnamon sticks
- Simmer for 10 minutes, continuing to stir to prevent burning
- Pour the syrup with the cinnamon sticks into a container to cool
- Let it sit for at least 30 minutes
- Pour the syrup into a jar through a strainer to catch the cinnamon sticks
- Store it in the refrigerator for up to a couple months
- Stir in 2 teaspoons into your drink - like a hot apple cider
