Homemade Ranch Dressing
Keeps in the fridge for up to a month. Nice and creamy. You can make it the consistency you want by adding milk. You can also add Parmesan cheese, bacon bits and/or lemon juice to mix up the usual ranch flavor a bit.
Ingredients
- 1 c mayonnaise
- 1 c plain Greek yogurt or 1 c buttermilk
- 2 tsp dried parsley or 1/4 c chopped fresh
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp chives or a good handful chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp dill weed or several sprigs fresh
- 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine mayo and yogurt in a medium sized bowl. Whisk until well blended.
- Add all seasonings and whisk until evenly mixed. (Or you can put everything in a blender/food processor and pulse until mixed.)
- If it is too thick (with the yogurt) you can add a bit of milk to get the consistency you want. If you are using buttermilk and your dressing is a bit too thin, you can add more mayo or olive oil. If using olive oil, be sure to do so using a food processor or blender to infuse the oil so the dressing won't separate.
